First of all, you have to know what type of skin tone you have and picking out the right foundation and concealer colour is very important for your face.
With the right foundation color, it can help you in looking flawless and more natural. You also need to find out the right formulation for your skin. If you have oily skin, look for products that have words like "oil-free," "oil-control" or "mattifying" on the bottle. If you have dry skin, go for moisturizing foundations with "hydrating" or "moisture-rich" wording on the bottle. In the market, there are liquids, creme to powder, sticks, mousse and many more.
Once you already have the right foundation and concealer colour for your face, it’s time to apply them on your face.
Step 1: Apply toner and moisturizer that have SPF.
Step 2: Apply a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. Dot it on over any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend with your fingertips or a makeup sponge. Apply concealer to any problem areas such as dark circles, blemishes, etc.
Step 3: Apply foundation using a sponge - using your fingertips may result in an uneven, greasy finish.
- Dampen the sponge first squeezing out the excess moisture - this will make the foundation application easier and avert the sponge from soaking up too much foundation.
- Place a small amount of foundation on the back of one hand and again dip your makeup sponge in it.
- Apply foundation by dotting it on your chin, forehead, cheeks and nose and then blend each one with your sponge.
- Mix it out to your hair and jaw line until and unless the foundation vanishes.
Step 4: Use a loose or pressed powder to keep foundation and concealer to make it lasts longer.
If oil surfaces during the day, spot that area with a tissue and then apply a light dusting of powder.
Makeup Series: Right technique applying Blusher
Step 1: Select a blush that suits your purpose. Pink or peach shade of blush will be suitable for all skin types. Select a light shade of brown if you want to highlight your cheek bones.
Step 2: Apply blush to your blush brush and tap off any excess.
Step 3: Locate the top of your cheek bone with your finger. You will feel a bone about half way between the corner of your eye and the center of your ear.
Step 4: Place the blush brush on the top of your cheek bone; pull the brush down and under your eye, following the curve of your cheek bone. This should be the shape of a comma lying down.
Step 5: Disperse the blush from this line you just made down your cheek. Do not add more makeup for this step; just use the blush that has already been applied.
Step 6: Brush a little color along your nose, your chin and your hairline using the remaining makeup on your brush. This creates a sun-kissed look.
Take note! Different face shape have different technique of applying blusher.
Hope this Makeup Series will help you gain basic knowledge of finding the right product for you and applying the right technique and tips that you can use in your everyday life.

ReplyDeleteTo hanna, if u have a dry skin, i would recommend you to use liquid and if you have oily skin its vice versa.. because cream is less liquidity than the liquid concealer. :)
